Irish Pub, Bangkok

A great time was had at Jameson's Bangkok this week seeing the return of many of the regulars after their trip to the Hong Kong Trade Fair. Special welcome back to Vicky, Yogi, Chrisse, Stuart, Neil, Bimal, Shirish, Kama, Tarun, Mike and Jeff.

The weekend proved to be the highlight with a fantastic Purim Festival Party attended by the local Israeli community. The festival itself is similar to Halloween so there were some outstanding fancy dress outfits as you can see from the photos in this weeks diary. A special thanks to Orly and friends for organizing the party and making it a special night for every one that came. The entertainment for the night featured different dance routines from Belly Dancing to Samba and proved to be a big hit, as did the Israeli Pop CDs! In addition to all that we had fantastic live singing and guitar playing from guests of the party.

The pictures will show you some of those dressed up including me wearing a tie??? Orly as Snow white, Dutch Milk Maidens, Sexy School Girls and even a Miss Whiplash. Congratulations to Mr. Milk Maid and Miss Whiplash on their winning the fancy dress prizes kindly donated by Nova Platinum Pattaya and Jameson's.

Happy 19th Birthday to Chris from Loughborough, he managed several pints of Guinness and even did his own special version of the funky chicken dance! Nice to see I am not the only man who dances that famous routine, even if he did do it better...

The football proved to be a big hit with Manchester getting thrashed by Liverpool even with Torres and Gerrard sitting at the bar in Jameson's they still proved too strong on the day. Even England pulled off an astonishing win against France in the Rugby while Ireland remains on course for the Grand Slam.

This week should prove to be great fun also with St Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, two new pool tables arriving and a massive sports weekend with the culmination of the 6 Nations Rugby.
